Lawn watering restricted to once a week

Sarasota, FL: The Southwest Florida Water Management District has imposed new water restrictions, limiting lawn watering to once a week.

In the City of Sarasota, the following new rules apply:

  • EVEN number addresses: may water on Tuesdays before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m.
  • ODD number addresses may water on Thursdays before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m.

Hand watering of plants can be done at any time.

The new restrictions are effective at least until August 1.
