Multi-Use
Recreational Trails or MURTs are 10 or 12 foot wide concrete
paths that can be used for walking, biking or roller-blading.
The City has completed construction of the Bayfront MURT along
the downtown bayfront. Future segments of that trail will go
out to St. Armands Circle and Lido Beach. Recently, the City
finished construction of the first segment of the School Avenue
MURT from Siesta Drive to Webber Street. The new pathway has
bollards to protect pedestrians, lights and benches.
