The Payne Park Auditorium is owned and operated by the City of Sarasota.
It is conveniently located in downtown Sarasota within the grounds of
the Payne Park.
History
Formerly known as the Sarasota Mobile Home Park Auditorium
the auditorium was built in 1962 as a meeting place for mobile
home park residents. The auditorium is now used mostly as
a leased facility by the public for dances, band concerts,
meetings and private parties. The room has a well maintained
3,000 square foot wood floor suitable for dances and meetings.
There is a large well-lit stage for bands or performances.
The facility is an affordable venue for a variety of smaller-scaled
functions. Payne Park Auditorium hosts a variety of events to include:
